About the project
Rebecca Sehn’s website development project was a collaboration between myself and Christina from Paone Creative. This was, by far, the most intricately detailed website I’ve ever brought to life and I am totally in love with how it turned out. Totally worth every pixel perfect measurement!
This website was built on WordPress with a custom Genesis child theme. We made use of Beaver Builder on the home page, blog, and in a reusable page template. Gutenberg was used for the rest. The goal was to keep the site as light-weight as possible, while keeping it easy for the client to make updates.
The animations featured throughout the site are a mix of Beaver Builder’s built-in features, CSS, and jQuery. For example, as you scroll through the home page, images float in and when you hover over linked images, an overlay appears.
The various background sections throughout the site were also unique for this project for the reason that many of them needed to lay on top of the content without blocking access to it. For example, as you scroll down a page, you’ll notice the illustration in the header is fixed and appears on top of the content. Originally, that illustration was all one image, but it blocked a large portion of the screen from being clickable. As a solution the image was broken up into several parts and pieced together so the minimum amount of content was blocked.
And the last thing I have to point out is the gorgeous contact form that Christina designed. I love the unique design and the postcard style. The form on the right side is integrated with MailChimp and the dropdown allows subscribers to self-segment. Fancy!

what the designer had to say
This looks amazing! Thank you so much!! To be honest, I usually dread initial development reviews because they can be so painful and nit-picky, like you said. This was so enjoyable!! Thank you thank you thank you.
